Starting a new mixed media painting. I´ve seen hundreds of cocks while gathering material for  “1000 Chatroulettes” painting. It has disturbed me somewhat. It will be too expensive for me to go through therapy, so the only helpful remedy is to get all the frustrations out through another painting -> Cockroulette

An unknown 17 year old Russian kid spends a few days coding a very simple webcam website. A few months later millions of people worldwide are on his website engaged in random 1-1 chats with complete strangers.

Quite fascinating.

If you haven´t done already, do yourself a favor and check out Chatroulette.com. But be warned, you are almost certain to run into adult content.

So I couldn´t resist! Chatroulette had to become a part of the 1 Euro Experiment. This painting consists of 1000 Chatroulette interactions that I am having from 23. March – 20. April.

When you´re dead, you´re infinitely dead!

All there is, is an eternity of nothing. Absolutely nothing.

So no more laughing with friends, no more cold beers, no more favorite foods, no more sex, no more kissing, no more partying, no more sports, no more family quality time, no more travelling, no more favorite hobbies, no more meeting new exciting people, no more sunrises. Only lots and lots of no mores.

Turning 35 a few weeks ago I had one of these life reflecting moments. Boiled down to: better make the most of it while I´m here – ´coz the clock is ticking. Tick tock… tick tock…

It was also an opportunity for me to translate this thought process into a painting.

The green stripe symbolizes your heartbeat when you are dead. If we hook you up to an EKG monitor right now, you will see spikes from the rhytm of your heartbeat, but when you are dead the green line will be forever flat. And along with it an eternity of no mores.

While viewing #017 – Infinitely Dead, your reflective state of mind could go two ways:

1) In a depressed state: F*’CK, IM GONNA DIE!!!

2) In a positive state: I know I´m gonna die, duh! But while I´m alive, I´m gonna get the most out of it.

Painting with dots is fun. God bless the aboriginals for this creative invention.

Personally, I am a moderate ABBA fan. I do enjoy ABBA music when the dance floor needs a flash of  ´70-´80-ish disco music, but it is not something I have on my Ipod.

So why this painting? Well, I saw the cover of the ABBA Gold album a few weeks ago and thought it would be fun to make something ABBA´ish in aboriginal dotted style.

I realise it may not be the most original painting but I hope that a true ABBA fan will appreciate it.

The first painting of this series was painting #013. I enjoyed painting in the Kindergarden Kamikaze univers so much that I had to revisit it again.

I actually intend to develop the KK univers even further, there will be more paintings in this series.

Your observant eye should be able to identify a bird in there somewhere. It just kinda sneaked onto the canvas.

Experiment wise,  #015 is interesting because it is smaller than painting #013, yet it is more expensive (2 Euros!). How will this play out? What will sell first and will a  potential buyer, buy both of them? And what will happen to the value of painting #013 and #015 if I next year make Kindergarden Kamikaze VI and it sells for 200 Euros?

Collaboration with Povl Pfmiff

Povl Pfmiff is THE coachers coach. You may not have heard of him, but he is actually the person behind many of the coaching methologies and theories around today. Anthony Robbins, Elkart Tolle, Dr. Phil and Rhonda Byrne, all have Povl Pfmiff on speed dial when they need inspiration for a new book or coaching themselves.

I met Povl Pfmiff through a mutal friend and it is an honor to have him collaborate with me on painting #014 of the 1 Euro Experiment.

On the way to my studio (apartment) Povl Pfmiff was witness to a car accident. We got talking about what runs through a persons mind in the split second they have a car accident. What do they think about, what runs through their mind? 

This is our interpretation of the thoughts of the people involved in a car accident.

The newspaper cuttings are in danish. Unforuntaly, it was all I had, so we had to make do with that. Use Google Translate for an excellent translation into any language.

The painting is called Zeit Zleishe, because we look at a SLICE OF TIME. For some unknown reason we agreed that it should be translated into tourist german.

Povl Pfmiff, Coachers coach

As a lifestyle, motivational and personal coach I get to see the thought patterns of many different people.

Being a witness to a car accident this painting was a very interesting exercise for me. What went through the minds of these people? What are they thinking about in the split second of the occuring accident?

Some are faced with the certainty of death, others do not event realize they are involved in an accident because they pass out instantly.

I started out being very frustrated. I had NO idea what I was going to paint for #013.

With a brush I just started painting something. After a few boxes and triangles I thought, OK… that is what I am going to do, just lots of colored boxes etc. It ended up looking really sh*t. I almost gave up on it.

But with a few doodling strokes the painting began taking a completely new direction. The smile on the red sun. Dots around some of the edges. A few blue waves. It was now transforming into something very different. Something fun, something that brought a smile to my face.

Why the name Kindergarden Kamikaze? Well, before all the cool doodling I said  to my friend (said = frustratingly shouting)…

“Fuck, this looks like something I made in Kindergarden. If I put this on the website it will be the downfall of 1 Euro. It´s KINDEGARDEN KAMIKAZE!!!”. The name kinda stuck after that!

Maybe a shrink could find it, but there really isn´t any deeper explantion to this painting.

I was just having a powernap seeing all these threaded colors. Then thought that a string of them would make up for a good painting. Wanted them to be on a black background, so they would stand out.

The box is supposed to look like ageing bronze. I am not quite sure if it fits in. I just know that I had a strong feeling of it HAVING to be there!

“Knep Mig” means “Fuck Me” in danish and is an expression I have come to use quite a lot!

Usually I´ll express “knep mig” in these different scenarios.

1) When a situation is against me!

If a situation is against me, I might yell out:  ‘KNEP MIG’

Fx. if I bumped by toes into the corner of a table. I broke a glass and it splinters all over the place.  I get an unexpected bill. I lock myself out. Garbage bag tears and spills all over.

So it’s kinda like. Now that this situation is already against me, why doesn´t it just go ahead and FUCK ME (Knep Mig)!!!

2) I see a smoking hot woman!

Indeed, my primal mating instincts are well and alive, so if I see a smoking hot woman, chances are high that you´ll see me silently mumbling “Knep mig”.

This hasn´t gotten me into trouble yet but I´ve had a few close calls. Shouldn´t really get into much detail but for your own sake…

…just remember, that the cute girl in front you in the cashiers line, might actually be able to hear your mumbling AND her beef-of-an-ass boyfriend might be returning to the shopping cart with an extra carton of protein-shake!

#011 Knep Mig is now the favorite of my paintings. The words act as an ironic soother to the ways of life, and also as a helpful reminder to the utter abundance of cute, smart, funny, beautiful woman out there.
